The survey was carried out in September 2008. The questionnaire was sent to 89 ladies who represent all ADCO technical discipline female staff with possible exposure to field visits. Fifty three responses were received electronically from different divisions bringing the response rate to 60%.

The survey results revealed that most of participants selected two designs among the four offered (with 30% each) and 28% chose the black as their preferred color, followed by grey and brown (26% each) then the olive color (21%).

Based on the review and assessment carried out by the committee to propose ADCO PPE for female employees, the following has been identified as suitable PPE for ladies:

• Safety Helmet
• Safety boots
• Safety Clothing:
  
  • Coverall material  should be at least 60% cotton
  • Two pieces that should not be Tight-fitting or sheer and the upper piece of coverall to extend below the knee. 
  • The coverall to be black in color with ADCO’s logo in golden and blue colors printed on the left arm.
    
• Headscarf to be 100% cotton and to be folded inside coverall.
