The Abu Dhabi Company for Onshore Petroleum Operations Ltd (ADCO) acts on behalf of its shareholders to explore, develop and produce hydrocarbons within its area of operations. ADCO operates in onshore and in shallow coastal water in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Since the first commercial oil discovery that was made at Bab in 1960, and exportation from Jebel Dhanna Terminal on the 14th December 1963 many assets where developed. Today ADCO ‘s Assets are:

The South East Asset, Bab Asset, Bu Hasa / Huwaila / BQ Asset, NEB Asset,  Movements Operations Asset, and Gas Asset. These are the company’s pillars of production.

ADCO is the largest producer of hydrocarbons in Abu Dhabi, accounting for approximately 60% of total production. It has never missed a shipment for over 50 years.
